And in this case the gang would be Jeff's wife, lovely Carlissa, and Katlyn and Ashton.

I think everyone has a close friend in their life who, though they may not see often, or to whom they don't get to talk to as much as they would like, when the opportunity does come along, you pick up right where you left off.

Jeff and I have that kind of friendship.  He and Carlissa and among my dearest
friends even though we don't get together near as much as we should.
