In August of 2006  I said goodbye to my former weekend toy, a 2002 Ford Mustang GT.      I had been eyeing the new Charger SRT-8 since they started showing up earlier in the year.    A friend of mine from the DFW Mustang Club had been pushing me wanting buy my GT, and he also works for Frank Parra Chevrolet, Dodge & Chrysler in Dallas.      Finally we made a deal:   if he could find me a limited edition silver Charger SRT-8 for a price I was willing to pay, I would sell him the GT personally as a side deal.       

 I didn't think it would ever happen; there were less that 400 silver SRT-8s built for the model year, and nationwide people were paying sticker plus 5 or 10% at the time.        One morning he called me and told me of the new silver SRT-8 that was just coming off the truck.   Long story short, we made the deal, and we both got what we wanted at a very good price.
